Acupuncture

is the stimulation of your body's healing energy through the insertion of hair-fine needles at specific points, which have been mapped out for 2500 years and recently scientifically confirmed. Acupuncture addresses an enormous range of concerns with physical, mental and/or emotional symptoms, as it balances and harmonizes the body's systems to restore health and vitality.

Shiatsu

is a form of Asian Bodywork Therapy or acupressure based on Qi flow and the meridians of Chinese medicine. Touch is the main healing method in shiatsu, and most people find a shiatsu treatment with its combination of pressing, holding and stretching not only deeply relaxing, but healing as well.

Chinese Medicine

and modern Western medicine are the two best-known and respected medical systems in the world. Chinese medicine is the older of the two with written records that span some 2500 years. Over one-quarter of the world's population uses it today.

Ruth Dalphin, M.M., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)
"I can offer
each patient
a unique plan
for healing and
staying well"

I bring to my acupuncture practice many years of experience teaching and practicing meditation, yoga, whole foods, acupressure, and various wellness programs. So in addition to the range of Chinese medicine treatments typically used in acupuncture (acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese herbs, liniments, guasha, bodywork, qigong, etc.), I can offer each patient a unique plan for healing and staying well.

I have successfully treated patients with back pain, headache, tendonitis, sciatica, arthritis, anxiety, depression, digestive and eliminative issues, chronic fatigue, infertility, PMS, menstrual and menopausal issues, common cold, allergies, asthma and many other common and uncommon ailments.

I have served in the national boards of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA) and am also a 500 hour registered yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance).

My interviews and articles have appeared in several national publications including Natural Health, Total Health and Longevity and AOBTA Pulse. I have taught many seminars, retreats, workshops and classes. I also design and present wellness programs and lectures in the community and have appeared on radio and TV.
